December

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! A few of the library aides spent our first day back at OHS decorating the library. They did an awesome job!

Congratulations to our Odem Owls for a long run in the playoffs! Owl Nation is proud of you!

A few thoughts before discussing books. The Christmas season is upon us....it's a time for giving. The administration office has an angel tree with names of students who may not receive gifts this Christmas.  Why not ask friends to pitch in a few dollars to buy a gift for a needy child.
NHS will be volunteering at the feast of sharing on Christmas Eve at the American Bank Center. Any OHS student is invited to join us. We will meet in the parking lot at 9am. Come by the library for a permission slip.

March Book One John Lewis
Aaron came across this book as he was helping shelve books. He had never read a graphic novel before.  Graphic novels are written in a comic book format. They can be either fiction or non fiction. We have quite a few of both types in the library.  Aaron is enjoying March, a non fiction novel about the civil rights movement.

SAT and ACT Study Guides
It test taking time for our juniors and seniors. Sophomores, you can take the PSAT next semester.
The library has many study guides available for both tests. These scores are important not only for admission to colleges, but can help with scholarships as well.
Maria took advantage of some free time to come to library and study for her upcoming SAT exam.

Just a few weeks until the end of the semester! Remember to take advantage of our many databases in your research projects.  The links can be found on our library page.
